"Where did you spring from?"

I hear you ask…

Well, it’s been a journey to get here, I can tell you that! If you were thinking, “What my organisation needs is a philosophically minded teacher to do the words,” then you’ve come to the right place…

Joking aside, the best marketers know that they aren’t selling products, but something deeper than that. You’re not selling an air fryer: you’re selling more time with loved ones. It’s not a computer: it’s a portal into other minds.

Philosophy addresses the deep questions, values and concerns that have been bugging humans for millennia, and I will use my philosophy background to dig deeper into your customers’ pain points. Good writing should connect with our deepest needs and interests. Also, did I use a quotation from Aristotle for my brother’s pizza van about page? Yes I did.

As a former teacher, I’ve been teaching very small people to communicate effectively for fifteen years. I’ve learnt a thing or two about writing in this time and if you’ve seen the National Curriculum, you’ll realise that teachers know more about grammar than your average XZennial [correct]. As a writer, I’m always drawing on what I learned as a teacher about making empathetic connections and adapting my approach based on the audience’s needs.

I’m not alone in having taken a unique path into writing, which like any human writer, gives me a unique voice and perspective that can’t (yet) be imitated by AI. But don’t take my word for it: check out my portfolio to see how I have found interesting angles for the projects I have worked on.
